Hi Guys,
I've got an extensive experience in business development, management, and international trade. I have been actively involved in business consulting for the past 3 years and wish to enter into the mainstream corporate environment. Where can I see these jobs? Do you know any effective head hunter? I moved from Vegas to Atlanta because of the poor market for MBA's in Vegas. Atlanta seems to be bustling but it has been a battle getting my foot into the doors. Any experienced advice?

Amin

Don't rule out Monster and the online sites. They often seem like blackholes but sometimes they pay off. Whatever you do, don't rely on one source. We even have some head hunters browsing this board from time to time.

Join local organizations and attend events
Try to network at those
Let everybody (friends, family, ex bosses) know that you are looking for a job.
Decide what kinda job/area you wanna work at ( There are test like Myers Briggs MBTI)
Put your resume out there like phil said (monster, careerbuilder etc - just the big ones though)
Read the news about the industry - follow prospective company websites and figure out whos hiring and doing a good business
If there are companies you REALLY want to work at go to their website, call them and figure who is the decision maker about jobs. Contact the DECISION MAKER.

DJ Freex has the right start- don't just contact the decision maker.

Give the decision maker a reason to talk to you. Make up a quick and dirty plan of what you can accomplish there. In essence find a need- and then fix it.
