Hi everyone,

I am a new buddy to the forum.
I am 22yrs old.
I have completed my B.tech. in June 2004 and am currently working as a Software Quality Analyst in Hyderabad(India).
I am very much interested in pursuing MBA and that's the reason why I've chosen a career in Quality Assurance (through which I can be very familiar with the Organisation's processes) very early in my career unlike many folks who prefer QA only after having some hands-on experience in Software development under their belt.
My ultimate aim is to become the CEO of a great Organisation.

Would any of you please suggest me the career path that I can choose from now on (which may be related to MBA course with emphasis on Quality) that can take me towards my goal.

Thanks in advance
Prasanna Kumar

Not to dampen your spirits but CEO's usually don't come from SQA positions. CEO are usually chosen/promoted from from sales, operations, and accounting (controllers etc.) depending on the focus of a business.

So would Production Operations Management be a suitable major for future CEO's?

What are you interested in doing besides being a CEO? Are there any companies that you would really like to work for? What business sectors are they in? What modivates you?

I would start there. Once you know what you want to do, then you can craft your plan for your rise to the top.

Operations management can be a good career path. Is this something that you want to do?
