hi all.......
how do i start looking for internship...i'm planning to go for internship next summer
i did my undergrad in philosophy and currently pursuing mba from Mississippi State University.(marketing + management)

i've 6 months of experience in HR and marketing (worked as trainee for 2 firms- first was a consultancy and the other was IT company)

Have you talked with your business school professors and office. They are the most likely sources of internships AND you may be able to organize some school credit if you can go thru the school on a somehwat official basis. If you have an idea of the direction your schooling is headed, talk with the lead prof in that department and they may direct you in the most beneficial direction both for knowledge and school credit.

IMHO, internships are an absolute must for real world prep. Unfortunately, that is uncommon in acedemia. Most fresh grads with no internship background have no clue as to basic day to day business operating steps. It is amazing what doing the basic bookkeeping process does for understanding accounting.
