Just read that, and thought I'd see what you guys have to say.
What I really want to know is why this doesn't happen to every company? I honestly dont know anything about business. :)

This guy is probably the most correct here. I doubt there will be a large exodus. Companies usually expand after an IPO and you have to remember with the economy still shaky, employers can pick and chose amongst the best. If they lose a few they can probably hire on equal talent for less.

Wow! I've been trying to get into Google since last year. It's just too bad they don't respond to my email application... :) If anyone knows someone there, please help me out!

yeah, they aren't worried, they probably get hundreds of applications a day, if not thousands.
