I am only going to be a second year undergrad business major and I will intern for ign.com corporation this upcomming fall.

Do you guys think this internship will be valuable and worth my time if I want to get into a good business school. Thank you.

Marketing Research Internship

A brief outline of the duties:

A) Assist in online research projects
1. Write/edit drafts of online and email survey questions
2. Review coding and tabulating procedures
3. Input text into the Inquisite survey tool
4. Set up html frames
5. Test the surveys
6. Run frequency counts, % reports, cross tabs, and other analyses

B) Coordinate various ad hoc email projects
1. Test the emails
2. Coordinate click-thru tracking
3. Report on email conversion rates

C) Work on general reporting and analysis projects as needed

Will train as needed. The position is $10/hr. approximately 20hrs.+ per week. Flexible schedule. Position will run through the school year.

Sorry I havent gotten back to you sooner. I think it would be a good opportunity especially if you are looking to move into a marketing or research/analyst position. If your looking for a position along that role following graduation you might want to study up on SAS, SPSS, and SQL.
