View Full Version : Titles for Business Partners of an LLC
Hi everyone, I just have a quick question about what to put on our business cards for our small biz. Three of us have formed a LLC and now are having biz cards printed up and realized we needed some types of titles. We didn't want to cheapen our importance by just what we do, (such as Web Designer for me). Does anyone have any ideas besides the typical President, VP, etc. as we all take one third of the responsibility as well as are one third financially invested. Thanks for any ideas or help!

On another forum, a reply was that I "have no means to make a
President an official officer with an LLC. If you are the managing member
then you need to include that title in all official correspondence, even if
you give yourself another title." We're introducing a brand new, never before done process for camouflage and we're a bonafide LLC. When I hand a card to someone at a trade show, I want it to look legitimate and have somewhat of a title, but if I put "Web Designer" it won't look like I have much clout with the company when I actually do. The main thing is that the other 2 partners and I want to stay in the confines of the law in an LLC. Thanks for any help and information!

When I was working for a small business my boss used the title managing partner. You can have position titles like vice president senior vice president, etc.
GCC, this isn't an area I spend much tim on but I know the guys at http://small-business-forum.com will know. I moderate there and there are a ton of small business owners in the same situation. You might want to check it out.
