I am a student at McMaster University enrolled in the Commerce Program. I have been assigned a case in which I have no experience in and would like some opinions.

the scenario

A newly appointed Regional Sales Manager finds out that one of his districts is involved in price fixing, morally and ethically what should be done, what should be done business wise?

Any input is greatly appreciated,
Thank You in advance 'Student in need of help'

This is not a slap on the wrist offense. The person or persons guilty of price fixing need to be removed and oversite actions need to be put in place to see it doesn't happen in the future.

Clean up efforts are where you really run into ethical questions. You may be putting the company out to slaughter if the word is leaked but if you try to clean up the mess proactively you may lose customers. The wrong decision could also land your head on a plate if upper management saw the issue differently.
