Quality of Earnings

Is there a checklist on what to look for ( in the financial statements/ notes) when trying to analyse the quality of earnings some where on the net ?

Any help is much appreciated

Ideally, it should vary from company to company and some of the basic drivers underlying the business model would be examined as well. A good starting point may be the book simply titled 'Valuation' by Copeland, Koller, and Murin. (I'm staring at it right now on my bookshelf as I'm typing this.)

Thanks I thought to read an entire book was not too good an idea for a paper, I had to submit the next day.Was looking or something more succinct. But thanks :)
