It is speculated that ...

1. Microsoft is not winning 64 bit OS market.
2. There are few applications that run on 64 bit Windows, and many ISVs are not spending much time or effort to port their products to 64 bit Windows.

It is kind of weird to see Microsoft not doing well in a certain market.

Well I know some people who have tried it and it's free for a reason. Its still beta and a lot of apps don't work right yet. I'm sure once its in its final stages it will be a decent OS.

I saw some video encoding benches on it and I think people will welcome 64 bit processors.
