I work for a large asian company and have just recently moved into the position of Non-Technical Overseas Trainer. Basically, I will be training distributors worldwide about our Customer Service manual, strategies, modules etc. I am well versed in the actual content, but unsure of techniques for conducting these seminars (ie. interactive, entertaining approaches). I do have 3 or 4 months to prepare, but obviously my methodology must be top shelf.

Does anyone know of any excellent resources to help me out? There seem to be an endless train of tapes, DVD's, books, on-line training courses....

I appreciate any input..

Jeremy

If you know the material really well you shouldn't have too many problems with any type of presentation you choose. Personally, I like to use powerpoint and run somewhat scripted presentations with planned interruptions to make sure I can connect with my audiance.

If you give a little bit more background on the training seminar we can probably give you some better advice.

Thanks for the expedient response. The training is a three tiered Customer Service oriented program. My job is to train those who will be training. The students will be required to take a test at the end of the training week which will determine if their "status" will be elevated (eg. Certified Service Advisor). The program was developed by a German outsourcing company that conducted a number of TTT seminars themselves which stressed interactivity, reiteration, and most importantly entertainment through various teaching methods. Unfortunately, my company broke the contract with them yet still wishes for me to employ these same methods (the likes of which my company hasn't a clue about).

Anyways, one of the tasks at hand will be to devise a flexible model that compliments the various cultural/regional differences i'll be instructing (Africa, S.America, Eastern Europe, Asia). Once again, I have looked into materials i've found on the internet; (www.businessmarketing.com/store/trainer.com) but unsure which are the most effective for my specific situation.

Thanks again for your help

Jeremy
