Hi,

I am looking to incorporate a new business from home, is it possible to use a home address as the registered office address? Additionally as a way of cutting costs etc do I actually have to appoint a company secretary?

Thanks,

mike

You can register a company adress from your home.
You can register yourself as company secretary.
Good luck.

jason_in98,
Why do you want to incorporate? A limited-liability company (LLC) might be a better option. Even a sole proprietorship is better for some people.

A sole proprietorship is easy and can be started today. You may just have to register a tradename if the company does not include your name. That is a state-by-state thing, so inquire to your state government.

I would talk to a CPA if you want to get advice for your exact situation.

I hope this helps.
