Allow me th introdouce myself. I am Surekha Rao, a 35
year old female graphic designer from India.The writeup below will
succinctly sum up my idea about design outsourcing.
Advances in commucication technology like the world wide web has meant
the death of distance and has been a great leveller in enabling
creative talented people to find truly rewarding work and oppurtunity
to showcase skills and talent to a worldwide audience which
was unthinkable a few years ago.
With outsourcing being the buzzword in today's hypercompetitive world
of business, it also gives me an oppurtunity to interact and work with
people with a vision who understand the concept of outsourcing work
offsite at a fraction of the cost.
I am an extremely talented graphic designer and an artist by
profession. I have excellent freehand skills and and a lot
of paintings and replicas of world masterpieces to my credit. Apart
from that I have designed many user interface layouts for many
websites including many for KLM. I shall furnish the URL's
of the sites and references on request.
Since the concept of outsourcing a lot of backend work, both high end
and low end, by corporates is catching on, mostly to big captive
units in India, I am exploring a new concept of outsourcing of
design work from small amd medium units from high cost wage countries
to outfits like us , and at a fraction of the cost thus enabling
them to save a lot on costs. Since many of the big Indian outfits
have big MNC's as their clients and small and medium outfits unable
to approach them given the small quantity of the work that needs to
be outsourced, I want to fill in the niche area, where small and
medium enterprises will be able to farm out work like
design of layouts, logos, buttons,flash animations, all entirely
online and with a time lag of 1 day to a week depending on the
mission critical nature of the work. Also freehand sketches which
can be couriered overnight can be outsourced from us , thus saving
enormous costs for firms , which would otherwise be very expensive
to get it done there, all for a reasonable amount and at a quality
and deadline which can be second to none, and most important, all
entirely online.
Any company , apprehensive and wary of our claims, may give us the
work and after evaluation of the work online, if not satisfied
with the quality may get the money waived off with no questions asked.
The above concept will result in significant reductions in cost on
the design front with no compromise on the quality of the work.
