Does anyone else work from home? Sometimes I do when I'm programming. I usually get a bit more done when working on my own computers.

Hi Philip,

Nice site... How long has it been up? I bounced over from the Small Business Forums website where your a moderator.

I have been working out of my home office for about 10yrs. Since I'm an IT/Business consultant, most of my work is completed on-site at the client or in my home. My partners and I established a virtual company years ago and like the freedom, flexibility, etc. it provides. One of those freedoms is working from home. We have discussed many times the possibility of getting formal office space but end up not wanting to deal with the extra overhead, etc. Bottom line: We're spoiled...

Thanks for stopping by. I've had the site up for about 4-5 months now. It's a bit slow growing but so was Small Business Forum at first and now the traffic there has significantly increased.

We are actually looking at finding a new office space. Something more in tune with our business. Right now our office building has horrible hours. Doors lock at 5 and I couldnt get in this morning at 7. It was a bit ridiculous.

When you work with someone who can really use email, you can work remotely, you can work from home. At least I don't see why not, especially if you are in IT. When you need to work with someone who doesn't know how to use email(not being able to reply back promptly, not being able to answer a question asked clearly, etc.), it totally sucks.

We (AdmissionsConsultants) are a virtual company. Our full-time consultants are free to live whereever they choose. My first job out of Chicago was with a very virtual consulting firm (you had to fly to the client sites anyway) and I was impressed with how well that model worked.

Thanks for the forum. Good luck with it's growth. Also came from the small business forum site.

I've worked out of the house for over 15 years. Do some real estate, oversee motel management, and market nutrition. Wife and self also do a little consulting and accounting out of the home office.

Good Luck to all and Good Sales!
