A couple of articles are posted in Google News today, articles about Itanium. Intel is a great company, but they took forever to get Itanium out of the door. Adaptation is rather slow. Looking back the last 20 years, what Intel accomplished is great, but I am a little skeptic about this Itanium.

Well the first Itanium kind of bombed when Intel released it. Jun is actually talking about Itanium II. With Intel who knows. The first Pentiums had the notorious floating point error. They finally got it right with pentium II.

If the Itanium II has good performance marks and the price is reasonable then I think it will do just fine.
