You know, I don't know if I'll jump into this new Office mainly because it's expensive. I am also not so sure if I really need it. I feel like OpenOffice http://www.openoffice.org/, StarOffice http://wwws.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/ will suffice; plus, these are so much cheaper. But ... well, you are lucky; you have chance to use the latest version of MS Office Suite. Let us, poor peasants, know what it's like when you have chance.

Students can get good discounts on the MS products and most universities are up to date so I'm sure a lot of the people here will have the opportunity to use it.
Even if your 30 or 40 going back for your MBA you should always look for educational discounts on software. You would be really surprized at the savings.

A few of my friend have tried it now and seem to like it quite a bit. I still havent had time to try it out yet. Probably will soon though.
If I remember correctly, Oracle is planning to supply Linux desktop for all developers. Also their suite of applications will be supported in Linux as well, which means that they support OpenOffice and StarOffice. That's pretty big. I doubt if OpenOffice and StarOffice will take a certain percentage of the market any soon, but it's always nice to see a couple of different choices.
